What is The Sacred North?
A 14-day small-group journey through Northern India combining meditation, yoga, spirituality, cultural immersion, sacred places, reflection and meaningful connection.
When is the journey?
February 1–14, 2027.
Which places will we visit?
Delhi, Agra and the Taj Mahal, Rishikesh, McLeod Ganj, Amritsar and Anandpur Sahib.
Is this a religious pilgrimage?
No. The journey explores different spiritual and cultural traditions with openness and respect. People of all faiths, or no particular faith, are welcome.
Do I need experience with meditation or yoga?
No. Beginners are welcome. Practices will be guided and accessible.
Who is this journey for?
For people seeking more than conventional tourism—those interested in reflection, spirituality, personal growth, culture and authentic experiences.
How large will the group be?
INDHARA is intentionally designed as an intimate small-group experience, allowing greater personal attention and meaningful connection.
What type of accommodation will be provided?
Comfortable, carefully selected accommodation will be used throughout the journey. The experience is designed around comfort and wellbeing rather than rustic or rural living.
Will meals be included?
Selected meals will be included as detailed in the final itinerary, with an emphasis on wholesome vegetarian options and opportunities to experience local cuisine.
Will we visit the Golden Temple?
Yes. Sri Harmandir Sahib (the Golden Temple) in Amritsar is one of the important spiritual experiences of the journey.
Will we visit the Taj Mahal?
Yes. The itinerary includes Agra and the Taj Mahal.
What will we experience in Rishikesh?
Meditation, yoga, Himalayan surroundings and time beside the clear upper reaches of the Ganges, together with opportunities for reflection and spiritual exploration.
What is special about McLeod Ganj?
Set in the Himalayas, McLeod Ganj offers an opportunity to encounter Tibetan Buddhist culture, contemplative traditions and beautiful mountain surroundings.
Will there be meditation every day?
Meditation and reflective practices will form an important part of the journey, while still leaving time for cultural experiences, exploration and rest.
Is the journey physically demanding?
The itinerary is intended to be comfortable, but participants should be able to walk moderate distances and manage normal sightseeing, steps and occasional uneven surfaces.
What will the weather be like in February?
Conditions vary between Delhi, Rishikesh, Punjab and the Himalayan areas. Expect cool to cold mornings and evenings, particularly around McLeod Ganj. Participants will receive a recommended packing list.
Are international flights included?
International flights to and from India should be arranged separately unless specifically stated in the final package.
Do I need a visa for India?
Visa requirements depend on nationality. Participants will receive guidance, but each traveller is responsible for obtaining the appropriate Indian visa and ensuring their passport meets entry requirements.
Is travel insurance required?
Comprehensive international travel and medical insurance is strongly recommended and may be required as a condition of participation.
Can I travel alone?
Absolutely. Solo travellers are welcome. Keeping the group small helps create a warm sense of community and connection.
What language will the journey be conducted in?
Support will be available in English and Spanish.
